The following policies explain the educational purpose of PsychologyPop, professional and social media boundaries, communication expectations, and important information about purchases and recommendations.

1. Educational & Informational Disclaimer

PsychologyPop provides educational and informational content intended to support understanding, reflection, and personal growth. Although PsychologyPop was founded by a licensed professional counselor, its content and programs do not constitute therapy, counseling, diagnosis, or individualized clinical care.

Engaging with PsychologyPop through its website, educational programs, social media, or other resources does not establish a therapist-client relationship or any other professional clinical relationship.

If you are seeking therapy, counseling, a formal diagnosis, or individualized mental health support, please consult a licensed mental health professional who can provide those services within an established professional relationship.

PsychologyPop's educational content draws from psychological research, professional knowledge, and lived experience. Individual autistic experiences vary, and information presented through PsychologyPop should be considered within the context of your own circumstances.

Participation in PsychologyPop programs does not guarantee particular emotional, psychological, relational, or personal outcomes.

2. Social Media Ethics & Boundaries

PsychologyPop shares educational content across platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other social media services.

Social media provides opportunities for education, discussion, and connection.

Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries and respecting personal privacy are important parts of PsychologyPop's approach to public engagement.

Educational Content and Public Discussions

Videos, Shorts, Reels, livestreams, posts, comments, and other social media content are educational and informational.

General questions and thoughtful discussions are welcome. However, public comments and interactions are not appropriate settings for individualized clinical recommendations, assessment, diagnosis, or counseling.

Comments may be visible to other users. Please consider your privacy before sharing diagnoses, personal histories, medical information, or other sensitive experiences.

Comments containing harassment, threats, discriminatory language, spam, privacy violations, or other inappropriate content may be hidden, removed, or moderated.

Direct Messages and Private Communications

Social media direct messages are not confidential clinical communication channels and should not be used for therapy requests, diagnosis, emergencies, or individualized mental health advice.

Responses to social media comments and direct messages are not guaranteed.

For general business inquiries, please contact hello@psychologypop.com.

Professional Boundaries and Confidentiality

PsychologyPop operates separately from the founder's psychotherapy practice.

The identity or client status of current or former psychotherapy clients will not be publicly acknowledged or discussed by PsychologyPop.

Following, liking, commenting on, or sharing PsychologyPop content does not establish or confirm a counseling relationship.

Professional boundaries and confidentiality obligations involving psychotherapy clients are maintained in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, and professional ethical standards.

Research, Lived Experience, and Professional Ethics

PsychologyPop draws upon psychological research, professional knowledge, and lived experience. Content is intended to distinguish research findings from professional interpretation, personal experience, and opinion.

PsychologyPop's social media practices are informed by relevant professional ethical guidance, including guidance published by the American Counseling Association (ACA), the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and the American Psychological Association (APA), as applicable.

These principles inform the approach to confidentiality, professional boundaries, responsible communication, and respectful public engagement.
